Snow Queen is a character who first appears in Aveyond 1 Rhen's Quest, with the role that wants Rhen's team to destroy Indra. She later reappears in Aveyond 2 Ean's Quest as the main antagonist. She is also known as the "Nymph of Compassion". Her real name is Ishtar. She is probably based on the Ishtar god of love and Gender.
Aveyond 1 Rhen's QuestEdit
Ishtar played a minor part in Aveyond: Rhen's Quest, she was not known to be Ishtar back then but as the Snow Queen instead. She argued with her husband, the Mountain King, about the existance of fairies and the arguement eventually caused them to wreak havoc against each other. Ishtar would often send blizzards to the Mountain King, while He caused earthquakes. They barely affected each other, however the villagers nearby were the ones who were mostly affected by the disasters.
Aveyond 2: Ean's QuestEdit
Ishtar played a main part in Aveyond 2: Ean's Quest. She first appeared to Iya, an elf with great magical potential, in a dream convincing her to give up everything she had and to live as Ishtar's daughter. Iya agreed to this and instantly attempted to take back her approval but was unable to. Ishtar then began to slowly withdrew Iya's magic to herself so she can gain power and before she was able to complete her evil deed, Ean Okho, an elven friend of Iya, came to rescue Iya. Ishtar planned on taking over the world and began doing so by inviting all the rulers of the major cities to a ball, she then froze the monarchs.
She is then encountered again towards the end of the game, when Iya receives the blessings of all the nymphs and requires Ishtar's blessing. There is a fight and it is then revealed that Ishtar was actually under the influence of her wicked witch sister, Heptitus. After Iya and her party defeat Ishtar, they fight Heptitus, and once they defeat her the monarchs are unfrozen.
Since she is the Nymph of Compassion, she is a compassionate and full of love person. But when the Love spirit inside her have been stolen by Heptitus, she sees nothing but hatred and anger, a person who have an great thirst of power. However, this trait of hers seem to contradict her actions in Aveyond 1, as she sent blizzards to the Mountain King in an act of anger without realizing the outcome and effect it had on the people of Thornkeep.
A goddess with a humanesque form, her hair color is white, she also waers white dress and white crown, which is represented for the white of ice and snow.
