The Daeva are powerful demons. In Aveyond 1: Rhen's Quest, they unite under Ahriman to conquer the mortal realm. They infiltrate the Arishta Isles and attack the Druids, taking control of their shrines.

Agas is the first Daeva seen in Aveyond 1, appearing in the opening cutscene as he attempts to kill Talia Maurva. Talia manages to escape, but Agas retains control over her shrine. He must be defeated to obtain the Dreamer's Tear, which grants access to the Temple of Time.

Indra[]
Indra is the second Daeva to appear, arriving in the mortal realm ahead of the rest of the Daevas. She seems to have some psychic abilities; Ahriman calls upon her to ask what part Rhen will play in his plans. When given a lock of Rhen's hair, Indra is able to predict that Rhen will destroy Ahriman. It is Indra's prediction that Dameon must turn Rhen to the demons' side for them to succeed.
Indra defeats Daena, Druid of Wisdom, and takes her soul. Indra also attempts to take over the Snow Queen's palace, but the Snow Queen locks her in the caverns beneath the castle.

Nanghaithya[]
Nanghaithya steals the soul of Vohu Mana, Druid of Music. He is humanoid, with purple hair and pale skin. He wears a circlet, black cloak, and blue robes. He can be found within Mt. Orion in Land's End.

Zarich[]
Zarich steals the soul of Rashnu, Druid of Darkness. He floats around, wearing a tattered cloak of grayish blue and a green hood. He is potentially a skeleton, as his sprite shows a white face and hands. His eyes are red. He can be found in the Crypt Maze under the graveyard in Ghed'ahre.

Tawrich[]
Tawrich steals the soul of Armaiti, Druid of Agriculture. He is a skeleton that wears a blue hood and brown cloak and carries a small curved sword and a blue shield with a skull on it. He can be found in Black Bone Caves.

Saurva steals the soul of Eithera, Druid of Strength. Saurva then takes up residence within the lamp of a Genie. The Genie's lamp can be found in the Demon Caves in the Southern Isle.

Aesma steals the soul of Vata, Druid of Time. Aesma can be found in the caves in the Blasted Lands near Thais.
