Introducing
The fundamentals of time and date measurements in the Aveyond universe are assumed to follow the Western calendar (or Gregorian calendar): A year is made up of twelve months, and each month consists of around thirty days. Days are divided into 24 hours, which are made up of 60 minutes, which in turn also consist of 60 seconds. Contrary to the Western calendar, however, the Aveyond calendar uses relative dating, meaning that no specific zero-point or epoch exists to measure time from.
Aveyond calendar
In order to represent the Aveyond calendar comprehensibly, Aveyond wikia uses the popular important choosen one Rhen Pendragon’s birth year as an epoch to measure dates.
For instance, 38 AY means thirty-eight years after her birth year, while 22 BY means twenty-two years before it. This system is used solely for the purposes of this wiki, and should not be considered canon.
Timeline milestones
Introducing part: Ahriman's Prophecy took about 4 years, between 18 BY and 14 BY.
After aveyond 1, generally each part occurred after its prequel 100 years
Aveyond 1 Rhen's Quest took about 3 years, between 16 AY and 18 AY.
Aveyond 2 Ean's Quest took about 2 years, between 218 AY and 219 AY.
Aveyond 3 Orbs of Magic took about 3 years 319 AY to 321 AY in each stage of parts:
- Book 1 and 2: Lord of Twilight and Gates of Night: happened in about one year 319 AY
- Book 3: The Lost Orb: happened in about one year: 320 AY
- Book 4: The Darkthrop Prophecy: happened in about one year: 321 AY
Implications
Based on those time line:
- We can know when almost characters were born (characters in aveyond 2 and 3).
- will know the milestone happens after Rhen's birth how many year.
- The year number is Rhen's age, we can compare easily her age and the other characters' age.
- Almost the hero characters are old teenage and young adult (16-22) and the sequel happened after its prequel about 100 years, so makes AV2 and AV3 characters's birth years are near and around the full year numbers (0, 100, 200, 300)
